I'm selling my D1 as I've bought another defender, so this is surplus to requirements.
Its a 1996 Stornaway Grey 5 door, with 121000 miles,
6 months tax, 6 months test.
I'm the third owner, the first two being father and son. It started its life over in guernsey where it stayed until being shipped over to the mainland in 2003 when the son bought it. It has a full Landrover service history, and is totally un-messed with.
Bad points; (they all have them) The bodywork isn't showroom, it has a few small patches of oxidation, a few parking ding and a few light scratches, nothing you wouldn't expect from an 18 year old Landy. The rear power windows are intermittent (common fault) and the rear wiper doesn't work. Sometime in its life the sunroofs have leaked but are now fully sealed and watertight.
Good points; it's absolutely as solid as a rock underneath, boot floor, cills, front and rear arches, chassis and outriggers are all A1. It's never been welded nor does it need any, and passed its last MOT straight through with no advisories. Obviously any inspection welcome. It has a full service a 1000 miles ago which included all oils and filters, front and rear diffs, g/box and t/box. All tyres are good inc spare. Interior is near mint with next to no signs of wear and tear, all 7 seats are mint.
